Or maybe not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Right now, I know I went 9-7 straight up and 8-8 against the spread in week 16. And I&#8217;m pretty sure I can do even worse picking the final 16 games of this absurd season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So here&#8217;s what not to expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-02836be8-e8f5-4fa3-9118-0932ae91769b\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.miamidolphins.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Miami<\/a> (+1) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.buffalobills.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Buffalo<\/a><\/strong><br>Even though the difference between the two and three seeds has been minimized by the expanded postseason format, I still expect the Bills to play to win. Buffalo by a field goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-2e7e2f63-9a93-4b79-87f6-0ebfe5b703a9\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.baltimoreravens.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Baltimore<\/a> (-14) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bengals.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cincinnati<\/a><\/strong><br>The Ravens are in with a win. The Bengals are the Bengals. Baltimore by 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-de2b2ebf-7236-4bef-a94d-b1beab1f68ea\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.steelers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pittsburgh<\/a> (+9) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clevelandbrowns.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cleveland<\/a><\/strong><br>The visitors are grabbing a sort of bye week where they can. The hosts are playing for a postseason berth. The Browns ought to have this one sewn up by halftime. I bet they won&#8217;t. But I bet the pull it together just in time, and come out on top by 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-bf43a45c-6728-4c5c-a1f2-e364d7eebc57\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vikings.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Minnesota<\/a> (-4) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.detroitlions.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Detroit<\/a><\/strong><br>I never know how to pick a game like this. Neither team has anything to play for. And the Vikings are the &#8220;better&#8221; team, but the Lions are the home team. Ugh. Detroit by three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-89637a5f-dcc8-4701-a3ea-0baf67cd747c\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorkjets.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">NY Jets<\/a> (+3) at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.patriots.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">New England<\/a><\/strong><br>Somebody once said &#8220;you can&#8217;t not beat the Jets.&#8221; I don&#8217;t know if that&#8217;s still true. But it ought to be. Patriots by a touchdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-a476aea8-b9ee-4b38-a611-08f6bca3e785\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dallascowboys.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas<\/a> (-1.5) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.giants.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">NY Giants<\/a><\/strong><br>Either the 6-9 visitors or the 5-10 home team will out of this game with a shot at taking the NFC East title. Because 2020 isn&#8217;t really over yet. New Jersey by three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-672b17bd-0af6-4e70-8d70-f245bbc4b322\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.atlantafalcons.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Atlanta<\/a> (+7) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.buccaneers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tampa Bay<\/a><\/strong><br>A home win earns the Bucs a wild card round visit to the NFC East champion. That&#8217;s a nice little incentive. Tampa by 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-8bccf367-abaf-42b6-aa99-cb34b98a10c5\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.packers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Green Bay<\/a> (-4) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagobears.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chicago<\/a><\/strong><br>A win here and the Packers get a week off and home field through the NFC playoffs. That should do it. Green Bay by three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-5cec0fcb-f000-419c-a651-059f12019dff\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.raiders.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Las Vegas<\/a> (-2.5) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.denverbroncos.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Denver<\/a><\/strong><br>I&#8217;m not sure why the Raiders are giving points to any team in a road game. The Broncos are terrible, sure, but are they really that terrible? Denver by four.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-eb8036f1-382e-47eb-83bd-c7e41ae239ff\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jaguars.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jacksonville<\/a> (+14) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.colts.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Indianapolis<\/a><\/strong><br>There are numerous postseason possibilities for the Colts. But none of them mean anything if the team doesn&#8217;t win. They&#8217;ll wrap this one up early. Indy by 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-25bb607b-c975-4f9e-af8d-a4be5348ec22\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chargers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">LA Chargers<\/a> (-5) at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kcchiefs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kansas City<\/a><\/strong><br>With home field through the AFC playoffs already secured, the Chiefs are taking week 17 off. The Chargers will take advantage of the opportunity to end their season with a four-game win streak. Los Angeles by seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-1ac48871-65ae-4d83-b713-423dcbb9c96c\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.azcardinals.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Arizona<\/a> (-3) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.therams.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">LA Rams<\/a><\/strong><br>Effectively a play-in game, which arguably is not the ideal time to be without your starting quarterback. Cardinals by a point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-11ef88bc-9fc4-4e5f-b89f-ff0350efa16c\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.seahawks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Seattle<\/a> (-6.5) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.49ers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">San Francisco<\/a><\/strong><br>The Seahawks don&#8217;t really have a shot at the NFC one seed. They&#8217;ll play like they do just the same. Seattle by a touchdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-c351f8c5-6abc-4af2-9af6-2d5163ed64dd\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.neworleanssaints.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">New Orleans<\/a> (-6) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.panthers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Carolina<\/a><\/strong><br>The Saints are in mostly the same position as the Seahawks. Only they&#8217;re playing at home. New Orleans by 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-b5be80d8-81c9-4aee-850c-578e109dcdc5\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.titansonline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tennessee<\/a> (-7) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.houstontexans.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Houston<\/a><\/strong><br>The Titans have something to play for. Tennessee by nine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-2d4936e4-7cc3-4a24-8caa-a37087ef722d\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.redskins.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Washington<\/a> (-4) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.philadelphiaeagles.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Philadelphia<\/a><\/strong><br>Brand X should probably win this one and capture the division. Which means they won&#8217;t.
