In case you were wondering. I can&#8217;t. Yet. There&#8217;s not enough data. Well, that&#8217;s my excuse anyhow. Feels better than just admitting I&#8217;m clueless. Probably. Here&#8217;s what not to expect over the next couple of days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.houstontexans.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Houston<\/a> (+3) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagobears.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chicago<\/a><\/strong><br>Neither of these teams is finished. And by &#8220;finished&#8221; I mean &#8220;ready,&#8221; not &#8220;done for the season.&#8221; They&#8217;re both probably done for the season. But the Bears are probably a step or two closer to being ready for 2023. Chicago by four.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.raiders.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Las Vegas<\/a> (-2) at<\/strong>  <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.titansonline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tennessee<\/a><\/strong><br>I don&#8217;t know why the Raiders are favored here. I mean, maybe they should be the better team. But are they the better team? Is &#8220;better&#8221; truly a word that can be applied to either of these squads right now? Tennessee by a point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kcchiefs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kansas City<\/a> (-5.5) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.colts.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Indianapolis<\/a><\/strong><br>This feels like the gimme of the week. Chiefs by 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.buffalobills.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Buffalo<\/a> (-4.5) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.miamidolphins.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Miami<\/a><\/strong><br>Temperature at kickoff is expected to be close to 90 degrees. Still won&#8217;t quite bring the Bills down to the Dolphins&#8217; level. Bills by a field goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.detroitlions.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Detroit<\/a> (+6) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vikings.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Minnesota<\/a><\/strong><br>YepThe Vikings probably have the brighter immediate future, but this game is still fairly evenly matched. And it&#8217;s a divisional game. So I&#8217;m not inclined to give six. Three, maybe four. So let&#8217;s just say Minnesota by four.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.baltimoreravens.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Baltimore<\/a> (-2.5) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.patriots.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">New England<\/a><\/strong><br>The Ravens are farther along. They should win this game. Which will be no consolation to Patriots fans. Baltimore by six.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bengals.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cincinnati<\/a> (-6) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorkjets.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">NY Jets<\/a><\/strong><br>The Bengals may not be very good. The Jets may not be an actual football team. Cincinnati by seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.philadelphiaeagles.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Philadelphia<\/a> (-6.5) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonfootball.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Washington<\/a><\/strong><br>The Eagles so far appear to be on a mission. I think the Handmaid&#8217;s Tale Villains give their division rivals a game. But Washington won&#8217;t be able to hang for all 60. Philadelphia by four.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.neworleanssaints.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">New Orleans<\/a> (-2.5) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.panthers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Carolina<\/a><\/strong><br>The Saints are bit uneven. The Panthers are a bit bad. New Orleans by three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jaguars.com\" target=\"_blank\">Jacksonville<\/a> (+3.5) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chargers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">LA Chargers<\/a><\/strong><br>Three and a half seems excessive. I think this is a game. Chargers by a point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.therams.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">LA Rams<\/a> (-3.5) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.azcardinals.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Arizona<\/a><\/strong><br>There&#8217;s no real reason to believe in the defending champs right now. But there&#8217;s also no reason to believe in the Cardinals. I&#8217;m just taking the home team. Arizona by three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.atlantafalcons.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Atlanta<\/a> (+1) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.seahawks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Seattle<\/a><\/strong><br>The Seahawks may be struggling, but they&#8217;re not struggling <em>that<\/em> much. Seattle by seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.packers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Green Bay<\/a> (+1) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.buccaneers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tampa Bay<\/a><\/strong><br>The Buccaneers are just better than the Packers. Right now. And probably for the whole of this season. Tampa by four.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.49ers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">San Francisco<\/a> (-1.5) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.denverbroncos.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Denver<\/a><\/strong><br>I know the game&#8217;s in Denver and all, but this matchup doesn&#8217;t look nearly that close to me. Niners by six.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dallascowboys.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas<\/a> (+1) at<\/strong> <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.giants.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">NY Giants<\/a><\/strong><br>Conventional wisdom says that regardless of their respective records, the Cowboys are better than the Giants. I&#8217;m not sold on that conventional wisdom.
